i have scored 516 in neet 2021.My all India rank is 71031 and obc rank is 31013. can i get MBBS government medical College in bihar aur west bengal

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 1st Nov, 2021

Hi

Your profile suggests that your domicile state is west Bengal

It's quite difficult to predict because cut off keeps changing every year  depending upon various factors like  number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the examination etc.

But when we go through previous data then it suggests that,

>>>>>>  with 516 marks  ,

you hold low chance to get mbbs seat in a Government Medical College

For example,

In Neet 2020, the lowest marks that got a seat in Government Medical College under west Bengal state quota for obc was 566 marks and it was for COOCHBEHAR GOVT MEDICAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL

You can check the same at

https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-west-bengal

For bihar or any other states , your chances for  government mbbs colleges is even lower because you will be eligible for all india quota in other states for which cut off goes even higher.

You have chances in deemed universities for mbbs which are listed below along with their cut off rank in neet 2020,2nd round all india counselling conducted  for 100 % deemed university seats   :-

----------) K.S Hegde Medical Academy, Mangaluru:- 491 marks

----------) Rural Medical College and PIMS, Loni:- 489 marks

----------) Amrita Institute of Medical Science, Kochi:- 479 marks

----------) SDU Medical College, Kolar:- 466 marks

----------) SBKS Med. Inst. and Res. Centre, Sumandeep  Vadodara:- 446 marks

And a few more

This  prediction is on the basis of past year data but  cutoff keeps changing every year  due to   many factors as mentioned earlier, so to have a clear picture of the colleges in   which you have to chances and

To get the complete list of colleges which you can get, you can go through our college predictor at

https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

It gives you a personalized report with top college in which you have chances for admission , with the help of predicted colleges you can make better choice while filling your choices of colleges during your counselling

Thankyou

Abhishek Roy 1st Nov, 2021

With a Score of 313/720, being from General Category, you will probably not secure a seat in MBBS in any Government or State Medical College even in case of West Bengal Quota.

My ews rank is 39642 home state west Bengal female candidate. Is there any chance of me getting Ingrated MSc chemistry in Nit durgapur or MSc physics in Nit agartala?

Sharon Rose Student Expert 30th Oct, 2021

Hello,

If you are enquiring about JoSAA counselling for admission through JEE Main score then last year the cut off in round 6 of counselling to get admission in to National Institute of Technology Durgapur in Chemistry (5 Years, Integrated Master of Science) was 11093 for EWS category under home state quota. And the cut off to get admission in to National Institute of Technology Agartala in Physics (5 Years, Bachelor of Science and Master of Science (Dual Degree)) was 8216 for EWS category under other state category. Considering the previous year cut off you do not have chances to get seat in the preferred course in the preferred institutes.

With the given rank it is quite difficult to get seat in any NIT/IIIT/GFTI. However, you can apply for state counselling based on the JEE Main score. The cut off changes every year depending on the total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination and total number of seats available etc.

To check the previous year cut off click on the link given below
