can I get a college in state quota general category with 517 marks in west bengal through neet UG?

guptashrutiajay 28th Oct, 2021
Dear Aspirant,
Comparing the cut-offs of NEET 2020 and considering your category as general, it is a bit difficult. However, the NEET 2021 question paper was of moderate level and you wish to apply via the state Quota so have a pretty good chance of securing a seat in MBBS via NEET UG. For further guidance you can use NEET College Predictor Tool to check your chances.

I have scored 455 marks in NEET 2021 in UR Category. Which BAMS colleges can I get in West Bengal or outside Bengal?

Aniqa zena 28th Oct, 2021
Hello aspirant,
Hope you are doing well. There are quite  chance to get government seat for bams with 455 marks. Your predicted rank is around 128082- 160832. But you can try for bds or bams government seat or semi government seat for mbbs.
For getting government seat for bams you need to score around 450+ .
As the cutoff for west bengal state remains high .
You can take admission in other  states  through 15% all India quota but not in 85% state quota except for the state you belong or you should have domicile of that state.
The qualifying marks for general category is 50% and for sc- st it is 40%. There are four government ayurvedic colleges in West Bengal . A  B.A.M.S. provides good career opportunities in the field of medical science. One can become ayurvedic consultant, lecturer , pharmacist , chemist , medical assistant and opt for other roles after successful completion of a B.A.M.S. programme.

Im getting 407 marks....and my category is sc... and Im from West Bengal... do I have any chance getting a govt college anywhere in India or in my state???

piyush263001 28th Oct, 2021

Hello,

To predict whether you will definitely get a seat in a college is an uphill task as cut-offs for colleges change every depending upon several factors such as-

• Number of applicants in NEET exam

• NEET question paper difficulty level

• Score of the candidates in NEET 2021 result

• MBBS/BDS seat matrix 2021

NEET 2021 Cut-off goes like :-

• General - 50th percentile

• SC/ST/OBC - 40th percentile

• General-PwD - 45th percentile

• SC/ST/OBC-PwD - 40th percentile

Now since the NEET paper this year was a bit tough compared to level of paper of previous years, so the cut-off is expected to lie between the cut-offs in the year 2020 and 2019 .

You are from West Bengal and belong to SC category.

Now considering all the points made above here are few colleges (both private and government) you might get seat into -

• Bankura Sammilani Medical College, Bankura

• Burdwan Medical College, Burdwan

• COLLEGE OF MEDICINE AND JNM HOSPITAL, KALYANI

• COOCHBEHAR GOVT MEDICAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL

• DIAMOND HARBOUR GOVT MEDICAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL

• ESIC Medical College, Joka, Kolkata

• ICARE INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCE AND RESEARCH AND DR BC ROY HOSPITAL HALDIA

• MIDNAPORE MEDICAL COLLEGE, MIDNAPUR

I have scored 455 marks in NEET 2021 in UR Category. What BDS or BHMS colleges can I get in West Bengal or anywhere in India? Government or Private.

Aniqa zena 27th Oct, 2021
Hello aspirant,
Hope you are doing well. It is difficult for  you to get government seat with these marks. To get government bds seat you need to score around 530 or more .
To get admission in BHMS and BAMS Government college, you need 480+ marks in NEET. Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery BAMS and Bachelor of Homeopathic Medical and Surgery BHMS are the most preferable courses by anyNEET aspirant.
To get admission in a Government college for BAMS/BHMS course, your score should be above 480 marks. Or else you can try for semi government seat for bhms or else you can go for private college for bhms and bds.
For more information, go through  the following link that will help you:-

I hope this information will helpful for you and have a bright future ahead.

neet 2021 medical score 506 can I expected any government or private medical colleges at government quota in west bengal

Since you haven't mentioned your category, I would treat you as a general category candidate . Considering all the aforementioned information, it will be very hard for you to get a government seat in MBBS through government quota. Though you can try management quota to get seats and also you have a good chance at getting seats in private colleges.
