my score in neet 2021 is 500, can I get govt. medical college in West Bengal, general category? please sir/maam answer me.

pdwords Student Expert 24th Oct, 2021

Hello,

With 500 marks your expected rank is 87804 - 104954, however this is merely your predicted rank as per previous year trends, and the real rank may vary depending upon various factors, check out at https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-rank-predictor/result

if we go through  last year cut-offs for UR  under state quota, then with 500 marks chances for GMC seem tough as the closing rank was 36907 for Cooch Behar Government Medical College and Hospital which can be approximately 577 marks as per previous year marks vs rank stats at https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-result-marks-vs-rank,

for government seats in private medical colleges at least above 550 marks is required, with 500 marks and UR category you may have chances for management seats in private medical colleges such as Gouri Devi Institute of Medical Sciences and Hospital, Durgapur/ICARE Institute of Medical Science and Research and Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy Hospital, Haldia/Jagannath Gupta Institute of Medical Sciences and Hospital, Kolkata/Shri Ramkrishna Institute of Medical Sciences, Durgapur etc, however this is entirely based on previous year data, and cut-offs vary every year based on various factors such as seat matrix/total number of candidates appearing for the exam/top neet scores/reservation/difficulty level of the paper etc,

You can go through previous year state cut-offs  for WB at https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-west-bengal

i got 92 percentile in jee mains paper 2 can i get any nit? my crl sc rank 305 and Im from west Bengal female candidate

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 23rd Oct, 2021

Hi

It's quite difficult to predict because cut off  depends upon various factors like

------------) number of students that appeared in the  jee main exam,

------------) kind of marks obtained by them ,

------------)  toughness level of the jee main examination

------------)  number of seats available etc

But yes,

As per 2020 cut off,

>>>>>>> with 305 sc rank in jee main paper 2

Yes, you have chances for NITs

For example,

In 6th round of josaa counselling 2020,

----------) Under other  state, 350 sc rank for gender female got  Architecture (5 Years, Bachelor of Architecture) in National Institute of Technology Patna

You can check the same at

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

This prediction is on the past year data basis but  cut closing rank for colleges changes every year depending upon factors like number of candidates that write jee main examination, difficulty level of the question paper for different shifts of jee main etc so

To have a personalised report on your chances of getting a college you can go through our college predictor, it will give you complete list of colleges which you can get on the basis of the category you belong to,  your home state, your gender etc, the link for  jee main college predictor is provided below

In Neet state quota counselling is All India Rank or State rank considered?? what are benefits if we have reservation quota in state ??? i belong to sc quota of west bengal domicile!

Kashish Saxena 22nd Oct, 2021

Hello aspirant,

At the time of result declaration of NEET UG exam you are provided All India Rank and All India category rank. After results, states announce their schedules for State counselling for medical courses in which they issue their own State merit list and new State ranks are being provided to students. This merit list changes every year due to various factors such as number of students attempted exam, and number of students participated in counselling, reservations and more. Instead in All India counselling only AIR is being considered.

Yeah there are benefits of reservation both in All India counselling and state counselling. For example the state cutoff for Calcutta National Medical College, Kolkata for unreserved category in NEET 2020 was 609 whereas the cutoff of SC category for the same college was just 508 marks and different according to their caste reservations.

Hope you get some clarification.
