how tough is wbjee can someone score hight just by studying for boards(isc)

ayanmukherjee045 25th May, 2021

Dear aspirant,

See in boards isc we are taught only for basic level and those are just formula based applications. In entrances like wbjee and jee mains we require some critical thinking and according to that we have to solve the problem.

So, you can go by studying Isc only but along with that you need to solve some previous years questions of wbjee and also the sample papers. By solving these you would get an idea of what type of questions are asked in the examination and you would also get to know about the pattern of wbjee.

The wbjee paper is of 4 hours with paper -1 (Maths) of 2 hours and Paper-2 (Physics and chemistry) of 2 hours. In maths there are total of 75 questions and in physics and chemistry 40 each.

No doubt, previous years jee mains/advanced papers will help you to understand the exam pattern adn time management. But to score good marks you need to focus on the weak topics or the topics/questions which you are not able to solve. If you imrpove these topics, surely you will score good marks. Do proper revision regularly and focus on the topics which wigh more such as heat and thermodynamics, modern physics, atomic structure, application of derivatives, conics, quadratic equations, etc. To know more, visit here:

sir if I passed wbjee main, what time needed for get a job??

Sharon Rose Student Expert 16th May, 2021

Hello,

That depends on the college in which you got admission, your academic performance, placements records and other such factors. If the placement record is high in the college in which you took admission then you may get placed in a company by the time you graduate provided you must have good academic record, technical knowledge and soft skills. So it is important to maintain a decent percentage throughout the course without any backlogs, participate in co-curricular activities, build your skills and technical skills to get a job in on campus placements or off-campus placements as soon as you graduate. But if the placement record is not so high do not loose hope but apply for off campus placements. If you are interested to get government job then plan a strategy and start preparing for it early.

Sir i went through the link that u had provided in my previous question for aerospace engineering in which it ismentioned that candidates are required to pass exams like jee mains or jee advanced for btech. Will my WBJEE marks taken into consideration as I havent sat for either of the two exams?

Aditi amrendra Student Expert 24th Jun, 2021
Hello,

WBJEE stand for west bengal joint entrance exam, it is a state level entrance exam and it is conducted for admission in B.Tech courses in collages that are situated in West Bengal. There are few colleges in West Bengal that offer B.Tech in Aerospace Engineering, but none od them accept Wbjee score
  • IIEST Shibpur - Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology
  • IIT Kharagpur
  • The Institutions of Engineers India, Kolkata
And these three colleges accept JEE mains and advance score. If you want to do Aerospace Engineering from a good college then i would suggest you to appear in JEE mains and advance examination with a good preparation.

I hope this helps.
