I take admission in Bidhannagar college in physics horns but I am not apply for university and does not appear any semester and In this year I want to take admission in engineering college through WBJEE. There is a stamp at backside of my marksheet so what I will do? please help me

ANUVAB DAS 23rd Aug, 2020

You need to cancel your admission in Bidhannagar College before getting admission through WBJEE. Just visit BNC with your guardian and reach their administrative section and gradually ask to cancel your admission. They will take back the ID card if they had given any during admission. After that they will ask you to show the mark sheet. Deliberately they put another stamp beside the previous one which will show something like ADMISSION CANCELLED.

Now you are all done with your problems.

Dear, sir/mam I am getting lower branches in NIT (BHOPAL, AGARTALA, AP, DURGAPUR, HAMIRPUR, RAIPUR, ) And good branched through YMCA faribad, UIT Chandigarh, HBTU, WBJEE ,UPTU which should 8 prefer. Please help......

Samarth Laghate 2nd Oct, 2020

Hello aspirant,

As you are getting a chance of studying in NIT means that you scored well in JEE mains 2020 so first of all congratulations for that. I would like to suggest you that you should first make your thoughts clear so that you will take decision properly.

That is there should decision of taking admission according to your preferences. As if you are willing to study in NIT then it should be better to take admission there because with low branches in NIT also you should make your career bright because as these are the very good institutions so branch doesn't matter a lot.

But if your preference is to any of the specific branch then you have to go with that because according to me you have to study in that branch in which you have interest then there should be no any relevance of any college that it is NIT or not.

So I would like to suggest you to be clear with your thoughts and then think also on your goal which will also help you in planning. So plan well and choose that you  truely want to do.

Also If you want to predict some other good colleges for you according to your preferences then you must go through our college predictor tool which will help you definitely.

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 23rd Aug, 2020

hi,

see every year cutoff score changes and it depends on certain factors like number of participants, questions difficulty level, seat matrix, students category, choice of engineering stream etc. however it is not a wise decision to step out from counselling process. I suggest you to participate in the counselling process, give the choices as per your best interest and wait for the result. now the process in online so you do not need to travel anywhere unless you accept the seat in the rounds of counselling.

you may use careers360 college predictor tool to know about your probable college,

My wbjee rank is 4953 and obc rank is 230 can i get core brunch in ju in spot/decentralized counselling

ojaswiyolo Student Expert 22nd Aug, 2020

Hey Premanshu

With a rank of 4953 in WBJEE even with obc quota your chances of getting a seat in a core subject(mechanical, civil, electrical and chemical) in Jadavpur University is not that high. The cutoff for Civil is around 3200 , for chemical it is around 2700 , for electrical it is 1075 and for mechanical it is 1815 for OBC category. Even with a category rank of 230 it will be really difficult for you to get admission in these streams. The cutoff for CSE,IT etc are even higher.

However you may get a seat in Kalyani in the core subjects! All the best!

My wbjee rank is 4953,obc rank is 230 can i get core brunch in ju through spot round(decentralized) counselling

ANUVAB DAS 22nd Aug, 2020

Getting a core branch at JU with that rank is really tough. The simple answer is you can't get a seat there. Please note that there is no scope in admission through WBJEE with the help of category rank. Your rank must be less than 500 if you want a seat in JU.

You may opt for Kalyani Government Engineering College ( KGEC ) and Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College ( JGEC ). It would be best if you go for NITs rather than these colleges under state universities.

With 5433 rank in wbjee which colleges should i apply for in the counselling process ?

ANUVAB DAS 21st Aug, 2020

Congratulations Tanishk !

Applying for counseling process is really easy and you can fill according to your choices. Though you can apply for all the top colleges, getting those is a bit tough as competition is at the highest level now-a-days. You can opt for Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College ( JGEC ) , Kalyani Government Engineering College ( KGEC ), Coochbihar Government Engineering College ( CGEC ), University of Calcutta, Academy of Technology ( Private ) .

NOTE : I don't know which branch you are opting for. You can get Jadavpur University also on lower branches such as Construction Engineering and Production Engineering. So, fill your choices starting from your preferred branch and top most college in West Bengal. Best of luck !
