For getting into engineering courses in jadavpur University student has to secure a rank below 1500 in West Bengal joint entrance examination.

and if you want to get Computer Science and Engineering in jadavpur University a rank should be under 100. As you don't have any special degree quota. That's a great rank you have achieved and a big congrats for the same.

Coming to your question, with the WBJEE rank (267) in hand, you do stand a chance in getting IT in JU. However, nothing can be guaranteed at this stage.

Counselling is done in 3 rounds, and usually cut off in the first round is very high. So don't bother yourself seeing the cut-offs in the first two rounds. Do have patience till the 3rd round, you might just qualify.

Considering the worst case scenario, if you miss it by a whisker, do not get demotivated, you can always get into the next best college in your agenda with the rank at hand. And if you are passionate about JU, then even if you don't get IT (worst case scenario), you will definitely qualify for other branches (EE, Mechanical, Civil, Instrumentation, so on and so forth...)
