Dear Dhrupad, ideally it depends on the position that you are being hired for. As usually GATE PSU is for entry level positions, they dont expect a mandatory work experience. If you have experience, it is good. But it is not mandatory to have work experience. But if you have had experience, you need to produce a relieving letter which will be subject to background check. If you think you need sole concentration to crack the job, you can absolutely focus on preparing rather than joining a company.

Thanks you so much for this advice ,it means a lot.But i have doubt that after graduation its been 2 year gap and now with this preperation its gonna around 3 year so what to do with that.

Check if you meet the age criteria. If yes, then you are fine. It takes guts and confidence to take a gap of 2 years and we are sure you wouldnt do it until you are certain of what you are doing. So continue preparing. Have a plan, stick to it.
