$ ext{Speed}=\frac{ ext{Distance}}{ ext{Time}}$
According to the question,
$\frac{5 imes 8}{8–5} imes \frac{40+x}{60}=20$
⇒ $\frac{40}{3} imes \frac{40+x}{60}=20$
⇒ $40+x=\frac{20 imes 3 imes 60}{40}$
⇒ $40+x=90$
⇒ $x=90-40$
⇒ $x=50$
