Hello,

Radiation oncologists are specialists that specialise in the treatment of cancer patients who are undergoing radiation therapy.

They devise and prescribe a treatment plan for each cancer patient.

Aspirants must enrol in different PG Advanced Diplomas/Degree Courses for specialisation in the area of Oncology after completing this 3 year B.Sc. Applied Physics degree - in which they must cover all main elements of the field of study - or 4 year MBBS course.

Following completion of the required basic qualifications, candidates interested in pursuing a career as a Radiation Oncologist must pursue a postgraduate degree in oncology, such as

MD (Oncology) or MD (Radiotherapy), followed by a DM (Medical Oncology) .

Hope this helped

Thank you
