For Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham's B.Tech programs in 2026, admission is primarily based on the Amrita Entrance Examination – Engineering (AEEE) and JEE Main, with 70% of seats reserved for AEEE ranks.

Admission Basis:

AEEE: Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham conducts its own entrance exam, the Amrita Entrance Examination – Engineering (AEEE), for B.Tech admissions.

JEE Main: Admissions are also based on scores from the Joint Entrance Examination (Main).

State Quota: While there was previously a state quota for Andhra Pradesh students, it's been reduced to ensure equal representation for all.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must have passed Class 12th or equivalent from a recognized board.

A minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, with at least 55% in each subject, are required.

Cutoff Trends:

The cutoff for AEEE varies annually, but in the past, the cutoff for the Amrita School of Engineering (Coimbatore) for the general category open was under 7000 for most courses.

For the Coimbatore campus, admission with a state quota was possible up to 19000 ranks.
