Hi Amit
According to the JEE Mains guidelines, you will be eligible to sit for the Mains exam if you have completed your diploma of at least 3 years, recognized by AICTE or any state board of technical education.
But you will not be eligible for admission in NITs or the CFTIs on the basis of your score as there is no lateral entry in these institutions.
You can only attempt the exam to qualify for JEE Advanced to enter the IITs from the first year, for a 4 year course. Hope it helps.
Sorry as of now ther is no lateral entry for bit mesra.
You need to go directly from mains.
But you can give JEE MAINS as a 12 th pass and you are considered as a 12 th pass so you need study B-Tech from first year.
In the FAQ list it is clearly mentioned that diploma holders can apply for JEE MAINS and Advanced .
So through JEE main you can get a seat.
