Unfortunately, you cannot use your last year’s GATE marks of 30.33 for admissions or PSU applications this year. Although your score was higher than this year’s cutoff (24), it didn’t meet the cutoff for the year you appeared (35), so it’s not considered a qualified score .
GATE scores are valid for 3 years , but only if you qualified in that particular year by crossing the cutoff. Since you didn’t qualify last year and also scored below the cutoff this year (18), neither attempt can be used for M.Tech admissions or stipend eligibility.
To be eligible for admissions or fellowships, you must score equal to or above the cutoff in the same year you are applying. So, even though your 30.33 seems good now, it doesn’t help unless it was above the cutoff when you took the exam.
Your best option is to prepare again and aim to clear the cutoff next year.
