IEM is one of the best college for mechanical engineering in Kolkata. The college has high-quality teachers here. We are assigned daily homework and assessment is taken on the next class. The student quality is really good. There is a good atmosphere of competition over here. The placements are going to be good as various core company is visiting the college regularly. All you have to do is get 7.5 CGPA, and you will find a way for your job. For extraordinary placements in the college, one has to be the best and secure 8.5 above with good skills.

I would like to inform you that IEM is one of the most popular colleges of west Bengal but the scope of mecghanical branch in IEM will be a bit scarce. I would recommend you to go for GATE because college placements won't do any good for you and you will get an average package from the college but the college is on one of the finest in West Bengal.
