Hello student. Land revenue system of english east india company, that is land revenue system during the british rule in india is as follows

3 major systems of land revenue

1. Zamindari system

Introduced by cornwallies, system also known as permanent settlement system

Zamindars are the owners of the land and are given right to collect rent from peasants

The collected amount is divided into 11 parts where 1 part belong to zamindars and remaining 10 goes to east india company

2. Ryotwari system

Introduced by Thomas murno

Here, owners are the peasants and british government collected taxes directly from peasants .

3. Mahalwari system

Introduced in the period of William bentick

Here, land is divided into mahals where each Mahal has one or more villages. Peasants were vested with ownership rights. Committee is formed in the village and is responsible for taxes collection
