Hi Hari Haran,

Thanks for putting up the query. To pursue B.Sc Nautical Science, you need to clear 12th in the Science (PCM) and should obtain 60%. At the time of commencement of the course, you should be between 17-25 years of age. Nautical science is the knowledge which is required to safely navigate and operate a ship. The subjects includes navigation and seamanship. Seamanship is the basic operation of shipboard equipment and tools. Colleges offering this course conduct an entrance test which is followed by a psychometric test, medical examination, panel interview and pre–sea training. A career in B.Sc Nautical Science can land you up as a deck cadet, second officer, chief officer and finally a captain. You can also get employed as a marine engineer, oceanographer, radio officer or nautical surveyors.
