Hello,

Yes, the open college student or a distance learner is eligible to give national level exams like NEET, JEE, KVPY, etc. There are no such restrictions to distance learners to not give any such exams. The minimum percentage required in class 12th by the general category students to satisfy the eligibility criteria is 50% and for OBC, SC/ST category students, it is 40%.

Dear aspirant,

This is to inform you that there are no such restrictions on appearing for NEET and kvpy because an open college student can easily apply for both these courses.

The basic eligibility is to score basic or minimum of  75 % in class 11th and 12th maths and science as subjects in class 10th. for KVPY.


As well as for NEET, one must have PCB as stream with a minimum of 50% in general category.

Hi there,

Yes, students of NIOS are eligible to appear in national level exam like NEET and KVPY.

NIOS is a recognized open board and students of this open board are eligible to appear in NEET and KVPY.

Candiates should fulfill eligibility criteria for exams to appear in that.

Eligibility criteria for NEET:

Candidates should have passed their 10+2 standard with Physics, chemistry and biology as core subjects. Candidates should have 50% aggregate in PCB and 40% in individual subject . Candidates should be of 17 years .

Eligibility criteria for KVPY

Candidates should be enrolled in first year of Any basic science course.

First of all I want to clear that the answer is yes.

Basically for Neet examination the basic eligibility criteria is that you must should pass your ten plus two level from a recognised board physics chemistry and biology aur biotechnology and English. Your age must should be above 17 and for unreserved category your 10 + 2 Level marks should minimum 50% for OBC category,sc sc and st it's 40% and for PWD 45%.
