Master of Arts in Sociology (MA Sociology) is a 2-year post-graduate program. In this course a student studies the advanced level about the society, its elements, and the various interactions and functionalities.
The course has some eligibility criterias for admission :
- You should have a graduate degree in any stream from a recognized university or institution.
- Still Arts and Humanities graduates are with some advantage that they should have minimum 50-45% in the qualifying examination
- Science and Education stream need to score minimum 60% to become eligible for the course.
- So, you are eligible for MA Sociology
Good luck !
As you're a third year B.Sc. student, then you can surely apply for M.A. sociology in your last year.
For example, if your final exams will be in April-May 2020, then you can apply for postgraduate entrance examinations from September 2019 onwards i.e. from your 5th semester.
It does not matter that you are a Bachelor's in Science student; you can still apply for Masters in Arts courses. You just need to clear the entrance examination. You cannot take admission on the basis of merit.
Hope it helps!
