Can i change my category from general to general ews in jee mains april and moreover will i get the benefit of it from my jan jee mains percentile ???

yes, you may change your category and in jee main april session you may apply from general ews if you have all the necessary documents to claim for ews category. however since you have applied jee main january session from general category, your rank and score will be evaluated as general, during the counselling period you need to choose any one of the category and rank, as one candidate may only get counselling from one category and based on its rank.
