I hope you are doing your first year in b.tech.Then you have plenty of time to get yourself prepared for your IES examination. The IES exam is considered as one of the toughest examinations in the country.The IES exam is a three stage recruitment process - IES Preliminary,IES Main and Personality Test.Take the syllabus from the official website and do a systematic study of the individual topics.Preparing well for your b.tech exams will help in your IES preparation.Collect the previous year question papers and try to solve them to get an idea about the question paper and the important topics.If you are not joining a coaching institute,try to get the materials provided by those coaching institutes and try to take many mock tests.All the best!!

Dear IES aspirant,

As you are still in first year i would suggest you to do self studying. You have four years to prepare if you do study daily then you can clear IES with good marks. Buy good text books and start preparing you can even see videos of topics you don't understand in you tube or some other app like grade up. If you still feel hard then you should join coaching centers like ACE at the beginning of your 3rd year.
