As you mention your rank with your rank you you are not able to get Computer Science Engineering in NIT Jamshedpur as you didn't mention your category... as your category also play an important role to get admission in NIT college but you are not able to get them.

with any category with your rank but you can  get  computer science branch but you can get the lower branch with your rank.

According to last year cut offs for home state closing rank for different branches was under 30k and for other state closing rank was under 20k , now it depends upon which state are you from , but if you want to get admission in main branches like computer science then it would be difficult because according to last year the closing rank was under 14k .  Check out the link below for more information.  The link will provide you more detailed information.  Also you can check the college predictor from careers360  . No, you need to have a rank under 15000 as this year the cutoff was a little high.

• Computer Science and Engineering 4886 to 14149 in round 1
• Computer Science and Engineering 4886 to 14897 in round 7

With 25k ranks, you can get Electrical Engineering and mechanical for sure.

So the next year the figures can change according to the difficulties level and the rankings of the student. But try to maintain this figure to get CSE in NIT Jamshedpur.

You have not mentioned about your cateory so i am assuming you are a Home State General. See for you to get a seat in CSE Branch you have to be well under 14K. This year the closing rank till Special Round 1 was around 14K. For someone who doesn't have state quota the rank must be under 9K to get the CSE branch.
