Hello Aspirant!

  • Admission Criteria: Merit-list based on marks in CEE (Common Entrance Examination) conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance exams, Govt. of Kerala (https://www.cee-kerala.org); AIEEE ; ISAT for Indian Institute of Space Science & Technology (IIST)and JEE among other options for IISER.

  • No. of Engineering Colleges: 141 + 3; Total Sanctioned Intake: 49,199 + 1194 = 50,393.

  • Major Disciplines: Computer Science; Electronics & Communications; Electrical & Electronics Engineering.

  • Students can gain admission in Kerala engineering Colleges through any of the following routes:

    1. CEE or Kerala Common Entrance Test conducted by the Government of Kerala: The candidates can target 49,200 seats across 141 different engineering institutes in the State through this test.

    2. AIEEE : One needs to appear for AIEEE to gain admission in the prestigious National Institute of Technology, Calicut. A total of 907 undergraduate engineering seats are available here.

    3. ISAT or the IIST Admission Test is conducted for admission to B.Tech in Aerospace Engineering (60 seats); B.Tech in Avionics (60 seats) and B.Tech in Physical Sciences (36 seats)

    4. IIT-JEE for admission to Indian Institute of Science Education and Research’s (IISER) 5-year integrated M.S programme. However one may also get admission directly under the KVPY (Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana and IISER science aptitude test. Eligibility for taking the IISER test consists of scoring above the cut-off marks in 10th and 12th for State/Central Board Examinations for INSPIRE fellowship as prescribed by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India

Hey there!

To get into any of the government colleges in Kerala, you will have to write KEAM. Qualify the examination with decent score and satisfy the admission criteria. If you do not satisfy the admission criteria, you still have a chance to get there with a special quota called management quota where you will have to pay for the seat along with the tution fee.

Hey there Gautham, if you are talking about the the government colleges that are jnder the syaye government of kerala then you can't get admission there without clearing keam. However if you jabe appeared in JEE , then you can get admission in those colleges which accept the JEE marks in your state.
