Hello aspirant,
IT’S DEPENDS UPON CUTT OFF .
IF CUTT OFF IS BELOW 70 THEN YOU ABLE TO GET ADMISSION IN IIT IF CUTT OFF IS ABOVE 90 THEN IT,S IMPOSSIBL
U CAN GET SEVRAL IIT’S BUT MAIN THING IS THAT U DON’T ACHIVE A GOOD BRANCH SUCH AS CSE MECHANICAL ECE CIVIL
I SUGGEST U IF THIS IS UR 1 ATTEMPT THEN U MUST BE TAKE A 1 YEAR BREAK FOR PREPARATON TO ACHIVE GOOD IIT AND ALSO A GOOD BRANCH.
Anything more than 45% of total score is sufficient to get a good branch (maybe CSE) in an old IIT for an SC candidate.
I have seen SC people with AIR ~4000 getting CSE in IIT Bombay.
But, do not limit yourself to AIR 4000.
Unless you work hard enough to get AIR < 3000, you cannot guarantee that you will get AIR < 4000.
Hope this is helpful for you.
All the best
