Hello! With an AP EAMCET rank of 27,000 under BC-B girl category, getting ECE in AU, JNTUK, JNTU VZM, or RGUKT is unlikely, as their closing ranks are much lower around 2,000–5,000. You can consider private colleges like GMRIT, Vignan, or Raghu Engineering, or other government colleges like JNTUA Pulivendula or Anantapur, which may accept higher ranks. Also, consider related branches like EEE or IT for better chances.

With a 27,000 rank in AP EAMCET 2025, getting ECE seats in top government colleges like Andhra University, JNTUK, JNTUA, or Rajiv Gandhi University is unlikely, as their closing ranks are much lower. You have better chances in private colleges, other branches, or through management quota. Non-local candidates face more competition, so exploring alternatives is recommended.

Hello Komali,

Since you are from BC-B category has 27000 rank in AP EAMCET for ECE, then it is highly unlikely that they will get a seat in AUCE, JNTUK (Kakinada) and even JNTU Vizianagaram, because their expected closing ranks for BC-B are in the 3200 - 4200 range. And also, premium private colleges tend to close for ECE in the BC categories at well below 11000 ranks, so for a rank of 27000, it really seems unlikely that a seat could be had in ECE in any of those colleges.

Hey! With a 27,000 rank in EAMCET and being a BC-B girl, honestly it will be very tough to get ECE in top government colleges like Andhra University, JNTUK Kakinada, or JNTU Vizianagaram, because their cutoff for BC category in ECE usually closes somewhere around 3,000–4,000 rank.

But still, don’t lose hope. You might get chances in some other colleges like JNTUA (Anantapur) or Rajiv Gandhi University (RGUKT) in later rounds, especially under BC-B female quota. Sometimes seats open up in 2nd/3rd counseling when higher rank students shift.

My suggestion:

Definitely attend all rounds of counseling.

Keep a mix of preferences (top colleges + other govt. colleges).

If ECE doesn’t work out, also keep backup options like IT or EE in mind.
