On can pursue engineering in any stream without writing JEE(Main+Advanced). JEE is the entrance examination for getting admission into India's top engineering colleges like IITs, NITs, CFTIs and other colleges accepting it. Apart from JEE there are numerous engineering entrance examinations to pursue engineering in not only biotechnology but in any stream. You can write BITSAT for getting admission in BITS campuses, VITEEE for getting admission in VIT University campuses, WBJEE for getting admission in top colleges in the state of West Bengal, SRMJEE, KEAM, COMED-K, KIITEE, MHT CET wt cetra.
