You can also use your class 12th Digilocker Marksheet as it has been started  by central government .Digilocker is a platform for issuance and verification of documents & documents in a digital way.you can surely it for taking admission in DU.

Yes , they are valid you just have to sign an undertaking that you will provide it to the authority ,once you got it, while seeking admission at college, for all necessary documents required at the time of admission checkout the university site. Good luck. it is 100% valid.

I think the reason for using the digiIocker copy is that you don't have your original copy of your 12th class marksheet then my suggestion is that then you raise a query in the official website seeking that you need the permission to provide a digitally printed copy. And I am sure that they will guide you through the process.
