STEP is a comprehensive on the job training programme for candidates after class XII where you will be offered a Bachelor of Tourism Studies with a correspondence from IGNOU. In order to apply after class XII you should be

• Above 18 and below 20 years of age.
• The programme requires a Class X English score of 71% or above.

You will have to fill the application form by visiting the official website. Remember there is no registration fee for the application form of Oberoi STEP. The programme doesn't require you to appear in a written test instead interview round will be conducted according to your preference of the city.

Mostly three rounds are conducted. In first round you will be divided into group of 15-20 aspirants and will be assessed on the basis of your communication skills. You are also required to perform many activities as well as attempt different questionnaires.

In second round, candidates have to appear before a panel consisting of faculty members wherein a one-on-one meeting is held. Here the questions will be based on the hospitality aptitude on which you will be evaluated. Round three is of 30 mins and you may be asked to write an online aptitude test.

Every year in the month of February/October , STEP is conducted in order to shortlist the eligible candidates for hospitality management programs .the academic session starts from the month of August every year .
The eligibility criteria for the same are

• Age limit must be above 18 years and below 20 years by August 15, 2019 .
  
• Candidates must had passed 10+2 by July 1,2019 , from any board recognised by IGNOU  i.e. Indra gandia national open University .
  

The minimum aggregate% differs for various courses . Here are the minimum % required to set the eligibility criteria on various courses .

• Hotel operations programme - needs 61% in English in 10 th board exam . The CBSE grade point for the same is 7 or B2 .
  
• Kitchen operation programme - 61% in English in 10th grade or 7 CGPA .
  
• Hotel oppration programme ( housekeeping ) - 51% in English in 10th grade i.e. 6 CGPA .
