There is no specific rank actually ,it various with state to state ,college to college.Generally if you able to get double of cutoffs marks of you category wise cutoffs than good NIT is in your fetch with your concerned course.

For good courses generally core courses(computer science engineering,IT,Civil) cutoffs are higher than non core courses(Aicraft manufacturing and maintaince engineering).
