Cutoff for jee mains through all courses
Hey student!
So basically, the JEE Main cutoff depends on which college and course you're aiming for. If you're trying for IITs, you'll need to qualify for JEE Advanced first. For that, the cutoff percentile is usually around 93 for General category, about 80 for OBC, and lower for SC and ST. This just means you're eligible for the next round.
Now, for NITs, especially if you're aiming for Computer Science, the cutoff ranks can be pretty high — sometimes around 10,000 to 20,000 for top ones like NIT Trichy or Surathkal. For branches like Mechanical or Civil, you might get in even if your rank is higher, like up to 30,000 or so.
For IIITs, CSE again is in high demand and usually closes around 15,000 to 25,000 ranks. The newer IIITs might go even higher. And GFTIs are a bit more flexible, so you could get in with a rank of even 50,000 or more, depending on the branch.
It really depends on your category, rank, and which branch you're okay with.
All the best!
