You need not re appear for 10th but you can go for betterment of your class 12th boards if you are not fulfilling the minimum eligibility for JEE Mains that is a minimum of 75% aggregate marks in your class 12th boards. You can also reappear for JEE main in the upcoming year.

You can appear for jee mains thrice from the year you gave class 12th board exams and in the next two successive years.
