Statement:
"There is very heavy traffic on the road between 5 to 7 pm. We need to have a flyover in this area". A planning engineer said in a meeting.
Assumptions:

II. Previous planning engineers did not do much about heavy traffic.

Correct Answer: Only assumption I is implicit

Solution : Let's analyse the given assumptions –
Assumption I: Heavy traffic should be regulated – In the given statement, plans are being suggested to regulate the traffic. Thus, this assumption is implicit.
Assumption II: Previous planning engineers did not do much about heavy traffic – In the given statement, there is no indication of previous planning engineers. So, nothing definite can be deduced about the previous planning engineers. Thus, this assumption is not implicit.

Therefore, only assumption I is implicit. Hence, the second option is correct.
