Do I get any DNB seats of surgical specialities in the Government quota under MCC counselling for a 60000 rank in NEETPG 2025?

At 60,000 rank, getting a surgical speciality like General Surgery, Orthopaedics, ENT or Ophthalmology is tough, since these branches usually close at much higher ranks. Surgical seats under DNB are always in high demand and are taken early in counselling. With your rank, the more realistic options would be in non-clinical branches such as Anatomy, Biochemistry, or para-clinical subjects like Microbiology and Forensic Medicine. Sometimes Family Medicine may be available, but surgical specialities are practically ruled out under MCC counselling with this rank.

With a rank of 60,000 in NEET PG 2025, getting a DNB (Diplomate of National Board) surgical specialty seats in the Government quota under MCC counselling is very unlikely due to the trend of the cutoff for the same going to 30,000 - 45,000 rank.

Only some non-clinical and para-clinical DNB branches goes high in cutoff and that too around to 50,000 rank.

According to your rank in NEET pg that is 6,000 rank getting DNV surgical speciality seat under MCC counselling in government quota is difficult because the cutt offs usually closed below 5000 and yours is above that but you can still try in later rounds.

You can also try in smaller cities or in lower tier colleges where the demand are little less. Along with that keep your backup options ready for safer side.
