Hi dear,

Government medical Colleges in the same state have same duration of bond service. However if one has taken Mbbs seat from AIQ in government colleges then they are exempted from bond. Also students in  private medical colleges of the state  dont have to do rural service.

Hope this helps

the places which have no bond whatsoever + no compulsory rural service for a fixed time.

  1. NEIGRIHMS, Shillong. My Alma Mater.
  2. Central institutes like AIIMS, JIPMER, PGIMER.
  3. Delhi State colleges viz: MAMC, UCMS, LHMC
  4. RIMS & JNIMS of Manipur.
  5. GMC, Chandigarh.
  6. Haryana state colleges.

Previously colleges which didn't have bond have adopted the bond system. This includes:

  1. No stipend no bond in Assam has been scrapped to have a service bond of 10 lakhs/10 years. 1-year of STRICT IMPLEMENTATION
  2. Bihar has also adopted a bond system recently.

Colleges where bonds are in practice for PG:

  1. Chattisgarh-1-2 years bond
  2. Uttar Pradesh- 2 years/40 lakhs
  3. Goa- 3years/10lakh (1yr practically done)
  4. Gujrat- 3years/10lakh _ seat leaving - 5 Lakhs surety.
  5. Himachal Pradesh- 5years/25lakh (strict for around 2 yr not full 5 years)
  6. Jharkhand- 1yr/10 lakh (Seat leaving 10L+stipend) (STRICT IMPLEMENTATION)
  7. Karnataka- 3years/50lakh (No bond for aipg candidates) (STRICT IMPLEMENTATION)
  8. Kerala- 1yr/50lakh (STRICT IMPLEMENTATION)
  9. Maharashtra- 1year/50lakh (STRICT IMPLEMENTATION)
  10. Madhya Pradesh- 1year/10lakh (NOT VERY STRICT)
  11. Orissa- 2years/30lakh (Seat leaving-10 laks+stipend STRICT IMPLEMENTATION)
  12. Punjab- 3years/15lakh (Not followed till now or maxm 1 yr)
  13. Rajasthan- 5years/25lakh
  14. Tamil Nadu- 2 years- 20L (not strict for Allindia candidate)
  15. Tripura- 2-5years/25-30lakh- (No stipend No bond + no bond for all India guys)
  16. Uttarakhand- 2yrs/2.5crore
  17. West Bengal- 3yrs/30lakh for degree; 2yr/20lakh for diploma

thank you for your help. but I wanted to know whether two colleges in the same state may have bonds of different durations. ( say KEM has 1 yr and LTMMC has 2 yr though both are in maharashtra...is such a situation possible?)
