Hello Shweta!

I will state my opinion for you. According to me, people sitting in front of a computer don't have any idea at all as to how to guide the traveler as per their requirements. As travel and tourism is such a field which needs many practical skills, so distance learning is what I would not suggest you.

Rather you can go for a regular college for these courses to make a foundation of your career in travel and tourism:-

  • Capsule Course in Travel & Tourism
  • Fast track Training in Travel & Tourism
  • IATA Foundation Course
  • International Tour Manager
  • IATA GDS Fares & Ticketing (Amadeus)
  • Diploma in Travel and Tourism

You can go through the below link to get a list of colleges offering the above degrees:-

In India, the travel industry hopes to build 46 million job opportunities by 2025 thus there will be more requirement for travel and tourism professionals. So, I would say your choice is definitely good.

All the best for future endeavors!
