CRITERIA
  • GATE cut-off marks will be decided by the committee constituted by IIT by taking all the factors into consideration.
  • Only after scoring the cut-off marks candidates will be able to proceed further in admission process.
  • GATE 2018 will have two components , cut-off marks and cut-off rank.
  • On the basis of cut-off ,applicants will be shortlisted for counselling and admission.

FACTORS AFFECTING GATE CUT-OFF
  • Number of registrations for GATE exams and applicants appeared in it.
  • Previous year cutoff trend.
  • Performance level of participants.  

EXPECTED CUTOFF 2018 for chemical engineering is as follows :
General                      39.72
OBC                            35.71
ST/SC                        21.465

CUT-OFF OF 2017
General                       44.3
OBC                             39.8
ST/SC                         29.5
