Velocity is an example of a vector quantity that indicates how fast an object is moving, and direction - i.e. (e.g. 60 km/h north).

So speed tells you how fast, while velocity tells you how fast and, in what direction.

Difference between Speed and Velocity:

Speed is the rate at which an object moves, without considering direction.
Velocity is the rate of motion in a specific direction.
