See , here you need to understand that there are two points , first is the minimum marks which you required for the clearing the gate entrance exam and in your case it will be approx to the range of 25 marks and for getting into the IIT / NIT your marks should be more than 50+ such that you can be easily be able to enter into these top government premises. So accordingly you need to design your preparation strategies.

Candidates have to secure minimum marks in GATE exam for admission in MTECH /ME programs in NITS AND IITS and other participating colleges. GATE cutoff will vary institute to institute. The cut off marks determine whether the students get qualified or not for the exam. IIT madras will release GATE CUTTOFF ,after the declararion of results.





Gate 2019 expected cutt off for cs









General category cutoff is 25.0

OBC cutoff is 22.50

Sc/st/pwd cutoff is 16.60
