GM. looking into the present industry scenario, engineers are being treated as average as compared to business commerce grads. IT in India too is average earnings. I am doing my 12th PCM. just gave Jee in Jan. I am not able to decide what to do after 12th, since it's discouraging with reality. advic

Your understanding of the present day world is more or less close to the reality. An engineering degree has definetly lost the glory it used to have in the past. The country has met the saturation point long back.

In my opinion, if you have such a mindset then dont take up engineering. It would lead you into having problems coping up with college and you might end up messing it up.

Maybe sit down with a career counselor and decide on what you want to do next. There are a lot of other options out there.
