Admissions into mtech ( research) will not be done through Ccmt . Normal mtech course and mtech by research are involving different admission procedure. For mtech ( research)  you need to check college's website, they will post a notification regarding mtech ( research) . And you need to apply separately for different institutions. Most probably and most of the institutions will take admissions by conducting online / offline test + interview or walk in interview, etc.

its not clear what you have meant by m.tech research,  generally nits offer 2 years m.tech course, but if you are interested for phds or research you need to separately apply for iisc or iits, phd or integrated phd i.e phd+m.tech courses admission is not done by ccmt counselling. for iits you need to apply separately for all institute.
