Hello,

Admission to MBBS is based on merit in NEET UG. NEET UG is a national level entrance exam for admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS etc. You need to apply for it, appear in the entrance test and qualify in it by scoring minimum cut off marks. There are 15% AIQ seats which are open to candidates from allover India and 85% seats are reserved for home state candidates. In case of J&K 100% seats are reserved for home state candidates. Now, you need to participate in NEET counselling to get seat in government medical college. The eligibility for NEET is that a candidate must have passed 10+2 with Biology/Biotechnology, Physics and Chemistry with 50%, for SC/ST/OBC it is 40% and for PWD it is 45% marks. Candidate must also pass in English subject.
