Hello Mohit

Indian Statistical Institute conducts ISI admission test for admission into B.Stat, B.Math, and M.Tech programmes.

To prepare for the exam you should know the detailed admission exam pattern and syllabus of the exam.

Exam Pattern for B.Stat and B.Math is as follows-

The ISI admission test is conducted in two halves- a forenoon session and afternoon session. Each exam will be of two hours.

The forenoon session exam (paper 1) will have objective type questions. There will be 30 MCQs in this paper. For every incorrect answer by the candidate, there will be negative marking.

And descriptive type questions will be asked in the afternoon session exam. In this paper, candidates will have to write descriptive answer to the questions.

Both the papers will be of Mathematics.

Go through the link below to check the detailed syllabus and previous year question papers- https://www.isical.ac.in/~admission/Syllabus-And-QP.html

Practicing previous year question papers will help you in preparation and to have an idea about the types of questions asked in the exam, the difficulty level of the exam, etc.
You should focus on clearing your basic concepts. If your basics will be clear, you won't find much difficulty in solving the questions.
Also, practice is the only key to improve your speed and perform better in the test. So, practice as many questions as you can.

It should be noted that after the admission test, shortlisted students will also have to appear for the interview.

Good Luck!
