Nowhere close to it. If you are getting CSE in VIT Vellore then please go for it without giving a second thought to it.

I am not saying these things blindly. Placements is not an issue in VIT especially for Computer Science, if you don't have any backlogs in the 7th Semester.

You can easily placed in a well to do Company with 5.5 to 6.5 LPa

According to ranking and placement point of view VIT stands far better than Manipal University since both are private but vit has good ranking structure from MHRD as well NIRF.

As my point of view you should go with VIT to pursue your CS Engineering because there you will get various opportunities like Entrepreneurship, numerous courses etc such that it will lead your overall development but one thing you always kept in your mind is that always go with the main campus of any University.
