Hello Akshaya,
The admission procedure in DU is quite a tedious one, but if you want to secure a seat you will have to go through all of it. First of all, you'll have to check cutoffs for different colleges to see in which one you stand a chance. Next, you'll have to take out the admission form of your choice of college from the DU Portal. After that, you'll need to report to the college on the day of admissions under a particular cutoff and then get your score and cutoff checked in your choice of department. Then, you will be issued an admission slip and a prospectus and several other forms such as Anti-Ragging Undertaking, GE and AECC subject option forms. After filling up all those carefully, you will be given a fee slip after which you have to go home and pay the fee online before 12 AM that day. Failing to which, your admission will be cancelled.
I hope that helped. All the Best!
Hello aspirate
The admission procedure in DU is merit based or entrance based. For some courses it's merit based and for some it's entrance based depending on the course. For merit based the marks are considered in best four subjects including English as compulsory subject. For entrance it depends on the marks you'll score.
