Hi aspirant,

There are a total of 31 NITs, 23 IIITs and 23 other GFTIs that accept JEE Main's score. After a candidate qualifies, he/she has the option to give JEE Advanced which is the entrance exam for 23 IITs. 

Some of the state governments accept JEE Main's score ( like MP) too while some of the state governments conduct their own entrance exam( like WBJEE).

JEE Main 2019 participating institutes include 31 National Institutes of Technology (NITs), 23 Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and 23 Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs).This means as many as 77 institutes of national importance are participating institutes of JEE Main 2019. Apart from these, the JEE Main score is accepted by certain self-financed universities and institutions.
