How many years is MBBS in India? Is it 5 years or 5.5 years, after the new curriculum introduced by MCI?

While the duration of the course is now reduced to 50 months from 54, the examination pattern has been extensively reworked. Each subject will now have two papers, with theory, oral and practical exams for each paper. Students of previous batches will not be affected by the change.

Sir I'm asking how many total years of MBBS is now? As it is reduced to 50 months, is the total course is same as 5.5 years or 5 years?
