Cut offs depend on various factors such as total no .of seats available, difficulty of the exam, previous year cut offs, no.of Candidates appearing for the exam and no.of Candidates applying for a course. While we cannot predict the competition that might be see a rise but we would like to bring forth few factors that might result in higher cut offs. JEE Mains was ideally scheduled for April but has been pushed back almost by 5 months. Which means even if half the Candidates utilised this time, the cut offs are going to go higher due to increase in competition. And the other factor is that due to the spread of the Pandemic, man Candidates would prefer selecting Colleges nearer to their homes. This means the cut offs are bound to increase for almost every College as the no.of availability of seats remain the same but the Candidates vouching for those seats increase. Considering all this, cut offs are bound to increase. And so we might see a rise of 15 marks atleast in ever subject.
