How much marks I must get in JEE mains to get NIT or IIIT under mechanical branch.

Hi, To get into top NIT's or IIIT you will have to score above 250- (ME)

but I dont need top nits
what if I get 120-160 will I get any nit in 120 marks

That not a good thing to aim for lower NIT's. You should always aim high even if you do not get it later.

Anyways, incase you want to get into average or lower NIT then score near 130.
Yes 120 shall be enough.
