To be very honest, the very nature of NEET entrance exam is competitive and thus your rank matters more than your marks. Also , the relative choice of colleges of those above you in the rank list also decides your outcome. Therefore there can be no cutoff which can be determined for sure. I am currently studying in Medical College Kolkata (CMC).
I would say above 500 if you literally mean 'any' Medical College in Kolkata.
All the best!

Hi Rio, As per your query about the marks cutoff for general category in any medical college in Kolkata, i would like to inform you that it will vary every year based on the difficulty level of ques paper and number of students scoring that mark.
It also depends on whether you are looking for a government or private college. You are trying through ALL INDIA QUOTA 15 %or State quota 85 %...
The cutoff for state quota is lower than all india quota
Going by previous year trend around 560-600 marks should secure you seat in government medical college Kolkata through state quota under general category

Hopefully it helps

Dear Rio
As per the recent years cutoffs, if you get minimum 550 marks you'll get a seat but what I'm saying is so. Times it can change...so try to get more marks than I mentioned earlier.
All the best.

Hey rio,
Its hard to say exactly.
For NEET 2018, an overview can be drawn from the NEET 2017 cut-off. Based on an analysis of the previous scores and student reviews, the Kolkata State quota is around 520  530, while the All India quota is about 550+ .
For 2016
The closing rank in the General category was around 3400. Specifically for the Calcutta Medical College, the opening rank was at 18 and the closing ranks was 981.
(The Opening and Closing Ranks in the year 2015 were 178 and 3031 for the same college.)

Hence the simple math is that you need to score a rank less than 1000 for qualifying. For getting a rank around 1000, the marks you need to secure would have to be in the range of 570-600 at the very least.
