How to become a CBI Officer
Two separate agencies manage examinations to fill the vacancies in CBI. These are UPSC and SSC. To become a Group-A officer in CBI, you have to become an IPS officer by passing the Civil Services Examination conducted by UPSC.
To become a sub-inspector in CBI, you have to take the SSC CGL exam. In CBI Sub Inspector Test (SSC CGL), Tier 1 and Tier 2 examinations are of objective type. You can expect questions from GK and Mental Ability.
Educational Qualifications : One Should have a bachelor's degree from a recognized university.
Age Limit to become a CBI Officer: The age limit to apply for Sub-Inspector in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is 20-30 years . 20-30 years for General Category, 20-33 years for OBC category, 20-35 years for SC / ST category.
The Course Examination Method : Tier-1- Computer Based Objective Examination, Tier-2- Computer Based Objective Examination, Tier-3-Descriptive Written Test, Tier -4 - Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) / Document Verification. To become a Sub Inspector in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), you have to pass the SSC Combined Graduate Level Examination. The Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGL) conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has four stages. After successful completion of all 4 phases, you can join CBI as Sub Inspector.

The salary of Sub Inspector in CBI is Rs.9300-Rs.34,800 and CBI Inspecto r is in Grade Pay of Rs.4200 rupees and the total salary in hand is Rs.44000 .
