If no seat is allotted in any round, and you paid the RS 6,000 (or 35,000/15,000) seat acceptance fee, then:

You are eligible for a full refund, after deducting RS 1,500 as processing charges.

Steps:

1. Visit the official JoSAA portal .

2. Log in with your JEE details.

3. If no seat is allotted in any round and you didn’t freeze/float/slide;JoSAA will automatically initiate refund after counselling ends.

4. Refund is processed to the same bank account used during payment (usually within 7–10 working days).

If you accepted a seat and then withdrew or exited after certain rounds, refund eligibility may vary (partial deduction or no refund after Round 6).

For CSAB Special rounds , if you surrender your seat , the Institute Admission Fee is refunded after counselling ends but the 5000 registration fee is non- refundable.
In DASA , the 300 registration fee is non - refundable , but the tuition is partially refunded depending on when you exit .
Refunds are only processed after the full counselling process concludes .
