I am a diploma electrical engineering students.I want to become a Engineer in isro . give me suggestions what step I take next btech or campus placement.
hi ,
here are the suggestions you might consider to become an engineer in ISRO :-
Pursue B.Tech (Best Option)
- Why? ISRO mainly recruits engineers with a B.Tech/B.E. degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Computer Science.
- How?
- Take lateral entry into a B.Tech (Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Aerospace) program, which allows you to start from the 2nd year .
-
- Prefer IISc, IITs, NITs, or reputed government colleges for better placement chances.
-
- Keep a strong CGPA (above 7.5 or 8) and develop good technical knowledge.
Campus Placement (Less Recommended)
- If your diploma institute has a good placement program , you may work in the electronics, power, or aerospace sector and gain experience.
- After 2-3 years of experience , you can apply for ISRO recruitment or lateral entry exams.
- However, B.Tech is still the better route because ISRO mainly recruits degree holders.
Apply for ISRO’s Technical Assistant Post (Diploma Level)
- ISRO occasionally hires diploma holders for Technical Assistant or Technician posts.
- You can check ISRO’s recruitment website for notifications.
- If you join ISRO as a Technician, you can pursue B.Tech while working and later apply for Engineer-level positions.
Appear for ISRO’s Scientist/Engineer Recruitment (After B.Tech)
- Once you complete B.Tech , you can apply for ISRO’s Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ Exam (conducted by ISRO itself).
- You can also qualify through GATE for direct recruitment.
in conclusion -
If you want to become a full-fledged Engineer at ISRO , go for B.Tech through lateral entry .
If you need a job soon, you can try for diploma-level ISRO jobs or private sector jobs and later upgrade your qualifications.
HOPE THIS HELPS
